DEATH LISTENS TO NO ONE.
"The voice says the cat will die."
Born out of wedlock, Thana has an uncanny gift just as ominous as her name. She sees dreams of omens and hears the voice of death.
After failing to cultivate Thana’s power for his benefit, the king locks her up for fear of the curse of death befalling them all.
When Thana comes of age, the king marries her off to a neighboring kingdom, hoping to incite the neighbor’s doom.
But death listens to no one.
THE OCEAN IS A TRICKSTER
Hush and retire ’fore her
Luring tune calls out to you...
Like many explorers, young Jacob boards a ship to the New World, hoping to find gold and claim a land of his own.
“The ocean is a trickster, and the moon its shady mistress.” When warned of the ocean's trickery, Jacob scoffs and pays no heed.
Until he sees a glimpse of a woman in the dark waters.
Jacob blames the bizzarre sight to his tipsiness. After all, sirens are just foolish tales.
But the woman's ghostly, pupiless eyes are too vivid to be a mere illusion. They call out to him like fire does a moth. As the voyage continues, the woman in the water haunts Jacob night after night.
Is the ocean truly nothing but treachery? Will Jacob make it to the New World safely?
